The I-Maestro project was presented by Marcus Lindner with a poster at the Forest Europe workshop on “Pro-active management of forests to combat climate change driven risks – Policies and measures for increasing forest resilience and climate change adaptation” that took place September 3-4 in Istanbul, Turkey. Interactions between climate change and disturbance risks and how forest management can respond to these is an important topic for forest policy in Europe. The planned outputs of I-Maestro like the updated Forest Disturbance Database and scenario modelling with improved forest simulation models will provide useful evidence to guide future forest policy and management decision making.
