Between June and July we collected empirical data for WP2 on forest recovery after severe damages from ice storm and bark beetle (Ips typographus), followed by salvage logging. We performed the measurements across a gradient of pre-disturbance presence of spruce (the most impacted species), in order to assess the differences in resilience across the mixed forest landscape around Logatec.
